The International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) focuses on personal, professional and academic development and is globally recognized by universities for the holistic and rigorous education it provides.
The IB works consistently to make sure the DP is globally recognized by universities, with its students gaining competitive offers for further study.

We support you with your university application
Gjøvik videregående skole has a dedicated member of staff to support IB students with their university applications. Towards the end of DP1 and throughout DP2 you will receive help in identifying and applying to university courses.
The university guidance programme includes:
- Visits from admissions personnel from universities, individualised guidance meeting with a university guidance counsellor to discuss your choices.
- Tutorial support with preparing your applications, writing UCAS Personal Statements, and applications essays.
The school is a registered UCAS centre (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service in the United Kingdom) and offer support through the application process. The student also get support in their application to Norwegian universities through Samordna opptak.
