This was certainly something we kept in mind during our experiences. 

To know one another

We volunteered at a vineyard, went on long hikes, participated in workshops, and most importantly, we got to know one another. 

Long hours were spent playing UNO, stargazing in a meadow, creating national evenings for us to familiarize ourselves with each other’s cultures. 

The learner-profile was at the forefront of everyone’s minds as we tried each other’s food, games and languages. 

Communicators

We were open-minded, but most importantly, we were communicators. There was nobody who did not step out of their comfort zone to try something new and shared that experience with other students who had been strangers to them a few days prior. 

Being a part of an exchange such as this one is a privilege we are lucky to have, and this is a trip I would recommend to everyone.
