Pathways to Peace
The theme for our week together was "Pathways to Peace," with activities centred on the core principles of the IB mission.
The journey toward peace began with workshops focused on school conflict and conflict resolution, providing practical insights into managing disputes in an educational setting.
Our exploration continued with an enriching visit to Oslo’s Nobel Peace Centre, where students learned about influential figures and movements dedicated to peace.
They also visited the Munch Museum and had a guided tour of historical Oslo.
Students presented case studies
At the end of the week, students presented case studies on historical conflicts and their resolutions. We also enjoyed a potluck at the school, further strengthening our bonds.
On the final day, we took our "pathway to peace" outdoors, with a trip to Knapphaugen and Øverby.
There, students experienced Norwegian outdoor life with a scenic hike and a barbecue lunch around an open fire, before we all tried frisbee golf.
